About My Classroom
The Moultonborough Central School’s Integrated Preschool Program is a New Hampshire Department of Education approved special education program. According to federal laws regulating special education, the program is subject to change and modification depending on the individual needs of students who qualify for special education.
The program is composed of an integrated group of Moultonborough children between the ages of 3 and 5. It is designed to meet the unique needs of young students. We provide services to the district’s special education preschoolers as well as a limited number of students who are not identified as having a disability. We use a thematic, language-based approach to instruction in our classroom. Students learn in individual, small group, and whole class instructional settings. The program allows our staff to have frequent and intensive opportunities to interact with all students. Consultation among staff and parents promotes maximum success for each student. Our focus is on current best practices and encompasses behavior management, learning environments,
school expectations, therapeutic instruction, social skill reinforcement, and effective communication.
