Hola and Bonjour!
I have been lucky enough to be one of the French and Spanish teachers at MCS for the last seven years. Before coming to MCS I taught high school French and Spanish and ESL as well. I have traveled often to countries where these languages are spoken and try to convey the pleasure of being able to communicate in a second language to my students.
I enjoy the enthusiasm of young students who seem to learn language effortlessly and are eager to sing out Hola and Bonjour in the hallways. Learning languages opens up a lot of opportunities. I have been fortunate to study abroad and hope all my students will consider that an option for them at some point in their academic careers.
