Grade 4 Teacher

I was lucky to spend many of my growing up years in Moultonborough.  My mom and dad have had a summer cottage in Moultonborough since I was  about eight years old.  My love for the lake and the mountains has kept me in New Hampshire.  I have been teaching at Moultonborough Central School since 1981.  I completed my student teaching at MCS and was offered a half time 4th grade position after I graduated from Plymouth University (PSC at the time!).  I enthusiastically accepted and have been teaching here full time ever since. The town of Moultonborough and MCS are very much a part of my life.  I am honored to teach in a community that appreciates and supports education.

I love working with children and realized this at a young age.  The rest is history....

Here I am standing next to John Mullens who was my cooperating teacher back in 1980.  Phil Jutras was the superintendent who hired me.  We are all here together at Chele Miller's retirement party.  L-R Judy Bodecker, Phil Jutras, Chele Miller, Barbara Hemingway, John Mullens, Laura Rice)

My family consists of my husband, Randy, daughter Megan, and son Rob.  We have two black labs named Gilman and Luna.  We raise chickens and grow a large vegetable garden.  When I am not at school I like to spend time hiking or walking.   My dogs love it!  When we can, my husband and I like to take motorcycle rides.  Last year we tried surfing!  When I am home I like to work on projects around the house, tend to my flower garden and preserve vegetables.           6308_91441_8.jpg
Here is my family camping in Maine.  This is our tent site on the Atlantic Ocean!!
