My name is Carissa O’Gara. I began working in the Moultonborough School District in 1986 and decided it was the best place to be, so I never left! For the past four years, I have had the pleasure of being a Reading Specialist. Most recently, I have worked with students in grades k-3. Prior to this role, I was the Learning Disabilities Specialist.
The children in Moultonborough are exceptional. They show a love of learning, respect for each other, and an acceptance of differences. It is a joy to arrive to work each day and direct their learning in an area that I am passionate about-reading and writing. I also treasure the parents of these creative children. You provide the love and daily care so necessary for your child to be ready to face challenges and grow. I appreciate our teamwork!
When I am not teaching, I love to be outdoors in our beautiful “backyard”-hiking, biking, kayaking, and skiing with my husband Mick and our friends. I am blessed with two wonderful kids, Kara and Mike, and am fortunate to have my family living nearby.
