Media Center Computer Lab
After School Usage Procedure
The MCS Media Center Computer Lab is open after school Monday through Thursday until 4:15 PM. Any student who would like to use the computer lab must have a parent-signed Computer Lab Use Form for that day. These forms are available in the Media Center. You may also download the permission form.
The form must be brought to the media center before 10:00 on the day the student is planning to stay after school. Once the library media specialist has received all forms for a given day (10:00), a decision will be made as to usage. Forms will be returned to students before lunch and will indicate yes or no as to computer usage for that day. Students are responsible for contacting parents regarding transportation issues.
Permission to use the lab after school is based on class related need. Once a week a student may choose to use the lab for exploratory activities. Any student who uses the computer lab after school must remain in the lab until the parent arrives. The student must be picked up promptly at 4:15. Lateness could result in the lost of after school computer lab privileges.
