APPS
Below are some reading, writing and spelling apps we have on our MCS iPads.
Word Bingo
This app is good for spelling and sight word practice. It includes a spelling practice section, sight-word bingo, and two other sight-word games – each with fun incentives to earn a Bingo bug. In the spelling section you fill in the blanks with the letters in the correct order (only the correct letters are given, making it easier, and you can choose to have them already filled in for the very early speller). The games reinforce the sight words and work on speed. There are grade level options.

Spellboard
SpellBoard provides a fast and intuitive way for you to enter your list of spelling words. All you need to do is enter the word (correctly spelled), the grade level (1-12) and the spoken word (recorded via the iPads built in microphone). Optionally, you can add a written and/or spoken phrase. That's it! Now you are ready to study your word list and be quizzed on it. |
