Safe Homes
What is Safe Homes?

In a continued effort to maintain dependable, safe locations for our youth to spend their time free from drugs and alcohol, and to give parents the peace of mind that they need when they send their children out the door, MTA members encourage you to join our Safe Homes network.

We ask that you review the Safe Home contract and add your home and family to our list if you agree.  Our hope is that this program will encourage parents to communicate with other parents and aid in reducing the number of drug and alcohol related incidents with youth in our community.  When families communicate with one another our youth are safer.

Many families have already signed the contract and have found some the of the benefits below:
Positive parental influence on their children/adolescents.
The promotion of parents supporting parents
Challenging the attitude among youth that underage use of alcohol is normal, healthy, behavior.
Challenging the attitude among parents that underage use of alcohol is normal, healthy behavior.
Challenging the attitude among the community that underage use of alcohol is normal, healthy behavior.
Strengthening the communication among parents and their children/youth.

Join our network and help spread the benefits of having a Safe Homes network in your community.  Names and contact information for families enrolled in this program will be placed on the MTA Safe Homes list.  We have created two ways to provide access to the list.  We will post the list on this web site  and we will also create a hard copy of the list that will be printed periodically and distributed in the community for easy access.

If you have questions about the program, please contact MTA’s Coordinator, Jessica Stephens at MoultonboroughTakingAction@yahoo.com
