Many colleges offer special opportunities for you to visit and learn more about their campuses.  
If any of the dates fall on a school date, you can get the absence restored by picking up a form from the Guidance office beforehand and returning it signed by a college official.

Senior Information

College Information Overview--Thursday, September 22, 6pm--Held in the Music Room at MA, Presented by NHHEAF to help seniors and their parents understand the steps of the college application process and a brief introduction to financial aid.
Student Athlete Night--Thursday, October 27, 6pm--Held at Winnisquam Regional High School--Presented by NHHEAF to help college-bound athletes understand the process of NCAA eligibility, recruitment and time management.  
Financial Aid Night--Thursday, December 1, 6pm--Held in the Music Room at MA, Presented by NHHEAF to help seniors and their parents understand the process of applying for financial aid.
FAFSA Filing Sessions--Schedule an individual appointment with a financial aid expert to get help filing your child's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)--January 24, or February 2, appointments available from 12-5pm each day. Please call to schedule an appointment.
Award Letter Information Night--Tuesday, March 20, 6pm--Held in the Music Room at MA, Presented by NHHEAF to help seniors and their parents understand the components of the financial aid package and learn how to compare financial aid and costs of different schools.

In addition to these presentations at MA, NHHEAF is offering a series of free Webinars, so you can learn more about topics related to the college process.

  • College Costs & Funding Options: March 28, 6:15pm, learn about managing costs, financial aid and scholarships.
Selective Service Registration:  This is a reminder that according to Federal Law all 18 year-old young men must register with Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday.  Registration is easy.  Simply go on-line at http://www.sss.gov or visit your local Post Office and ask for a registration card.  Selective Service now accepts early submission of registration information by students who are at least 17 years and 3 months old; doing this you will be automatically registered when they turn 18.

Seniors, if you hope to play Division I or Division II sports at college, you need to register with NCAA Clearinghouse.  
        Go to www.ncaaclearinghouse.net to do so.

Junior Information

  • PSAT is offered at Moultonborough Academy on Saturday, October 15. Sign up with Mrs. Chapman!
  • College Prep for Juniors: Tuesday, April 3, 2012. We will have a speaker from NHHEAF to meet with all juniors to discuss the college selection and application process.
  • Destination College: March 24, 2012 at Southern NH University. This is a day of workshops for juniors and parents to learn about the college process. It is sponsored by NHHEAF and is full of helpful and motivational talks. Don't miss it! www.destinationcollege.org  Registration will open this winter.
Sophomore Information

  • PSAT is offered at Moultonborough Academy on Saturday, October 15. Sign up with Mrs. Chapman.
  • Talk to Mrs. Chapman about going to the HOBY Youth Leadership workshop. Application is due by the end of November.

Report Cards and Interim Dates
First Marking Quarter
   * Interims will be mailed home October 6, 2011.
   *Marking period closes on Novembe4 and report cards will be mailed on or before November 14, 2011.
Second Marking Quarter
   * Interims will be mailed home December 16, 2011.
   * Marking period closes on January 20, 2012 and report cards will be mailed on January 27, 2012.
Third Marking Quarter
   * Interims will be mailed home February 24, 2012.
   * Marking period closes on March 30, 2012 and report cards will be mailed on or before April 6, 2012.
Fourth Marking Quarter
   * Interims will be mailed home on May 4, 2012.
   * Marking period closes on June 15, 2012 (depends on snow days).
