	Town/SAU Working Group Meeting Minutes – Thursday, June 19, 2008 The public meeting began at 3:07 p.m. in the Meeting Room inthe Moultonborough Town Hall. In Attendance: Ed Charest, Jim Gray, Mike Lancor, LaurieWhitley, Phyllis Prouty Laurie Whitley moved, seconded by Jim Gray, to approve theJune 12 minutes. The minutes wereapproved unanimously. Laurie Whitley moved, seconded by Phyllis Prouty, to approverevisions suggested by Carter Terenzini to the Charge and Composition for theAdvisory Budget Committee. Ed Charest explained that the Town’s attorney informed theSelect Board that interviews of candidates for the Advisory Budget Committeemust be held in public sessions as per a recent NH court ruling. Members of the Town/SAU Working Group interviewed candidatesJean Beadle, Edward Marudzinski, Gary Haracz and Paul Smith. Following the four interviews, working group members feltthat Mr. Smith would have difficulty taking part in Advisory Budget Committeemeetings to be held in January and February 2009 due to a previously plannedcommitment. Ed Charest moved, seconded by Jim Gray to recommend that theSelect Board and School Board appoint Jean Beadle, Gary Haracz and EdwardMarudzinski to fill the three at-large seats on the Advisory Budget Committeefor 2008-2009. The motion wasapproved unanimously. Phyllis Prouty and Laurie Whitley agreed to call the fourcandidates who were interviewed to inform them of the Working Group’srecommendations. Laurie Whitley agreed to be the primary spokesperson for theTown/SAU Working Group during the joint meeting of the Select Board and SchoolBoard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 in the Town Hall. Laurie Whitley moved, seconded by Ed Charest, to adjourn themeeting at 4:39 p.m. The motionwas approved unanimously. Respectfully submitted, Michael Lancor Town/SAU Working Group Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, June 12, 2008 Non-public SessionMinutes: At 4:47 p.m., a motion was made by Laurie Whitley to go intonon-public session under RSA 91-A:3 for personnel reasons. The motion was seconded by Jim Gray andapproved unanimously by all present by roll call vote. Resumes and letters of interest from the six individuals whoexpressed interest in serving on the Advisory Budget Committee were reviewedand discussed. It was decided thatmembers of this Town/SAU Working Group would invite five candidates to beinterviewed for 15 minutes each beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Town Hall onThursday, June 19, 2008. CarterTerenzini will schedule the interviews and send each candidate a copy of theDraft Procedural Guidelines for the Advisory Budget Committee. Following the interviews, three candidates will be selectedand recommended to the combined Select Board and School Board Meeting to beginat 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2008 in the Town Hall. At 5:15 p.m., a motion was made by Laurie Whitley to adjournunder RSA 91-A:3. The motion wasseconded by Ed Charest and approved unanimously by all present by roll callvote.
